Mixson and North Charleston Artist Guild Debut the Park Circle Studio & House Tour

Mixson, a new urbanist community in North Charleston’s historic Park Circle neighborhood, is pleased to present the Park Circle Studio & House Tour on Saturday, December 11, from 2 to 6 p.m. Hosted in collaboration with the North Charleston Artist Guild, an organization recently formed to celebrate and nurture the thriving North Charleston artist community, the Park Circle Studio & House Tour offers a self-paced art excursion, set at Mixson and in other Park Circle homes and spaces where the artists work. Model homes at Mixson have been transformed into pop-up galleries in addition to personal studios and homes throughout the Park Circle district, where guests can meet artists, see their spaces and shop for locally created artwork, including original paintings, photography, letterpress stationery, sculpture, fiber art, mixed media, glasswork and artisan jewelry.

The Park Circle Studio & House Tour will feature the following artists and members:

Guests are encouraged to start at Mixson, following the tour along East Montague in Olde North Charleston, via bike or car. Parking is free but limited and carpooling is recommended. The North Charleston Artist Guild is an arts organization hosted by the The Olde North Charleston Merchants Association operating out of the Old Village of Park Circle North Charleston. Membership is open to any individual artist (broadly defined as someone creating original visual work in activities such as drawing, painting, sculpture, acting, dancing, writing, filmmaking, photography, music, etc.) who does not operate a storefront. The purpose of the guild is to provide a networking platform for local artists, promote works through an alliance with Park Circle businesses and advance public education on the arts.
